[PHOTOS] How President Buhari’s Tailor Stole The Show in Imo state
By Paul Ukpabio
The announcement of President Buhari’s visit to Imo state, initially met with some form of hostility from some political segments of people of the state.
As a matter of fact, the cessionist group known as IPOB called for a sit-at-home, whose effectiveness is still being debated as initial photos that came from Imo state this morning, confirmed empty roads.
But that atmosphere seemed to have changed as soon as President Muhammadu Buhari landed and arrived at the Government House.
Attention was sooner drawn to the President’s trouser and guess what, before anyone could say Jack Robinson, everyone was talking about the trouser!
News about the President’s trouser soon spread all over the state and beyond and many people forgave the President all perceived and supposed sins and instead concentrated their attention, and at the same time directed their attention to the tailor who carved or fashioned the said trouser, for the president!
In Imo, people started filling out of their homes to meet with their neighbours to joke about the trouser, some became so happy about the trouser, that they made merriment, while others just complimented the President’s tailor for his supposed genius (sic) or creativity!
The trouser brought out the excitement of Buhari’s visit to the state, as people regaled themselves with joy and laughter.
“This President is special,” many concluded.
A closer look at the president’s trouser actually speaks volumes! Some say it looks like a piece of fashion from the 60s, some said no, its a piece of fashion from the 80s, while some said that, it must be one of the president’s old stuff in his wardrobe which he perhaps loves so much.
But a Lagos based fashion designer who chose to remain anonymous said that, the youth of today, do not really value fashion, that the president’s trouser is a master piece! That it is today’s fashion and that the president’s tailor, should be highly commended for a good work well done.
