How God’s Mercy Stopped COVID-19 From Consuming Nigerians –Adeboye

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said the COVID-19 would have consumed Nigerians, if not for God’s mercy on the nation.

Adeboye made this known yesterday during the first Sunday service in November with the theme: Better Days Ahead.

The cleric noted that compared to what happened in developed countries, it was obvious that God has been merciful to Nigeria.

He advised Nigerians to continue to pray for God’s mercy and protection as the world is fighting hard to overcome the pandemic.

Adeboye said Nigeria should not take God’s mercy for granted, adding that in all things, Nigerians should give God the glory.

“When Coronavirus broke at the beginning of the year, all advanced countries said, ‘Oh God, when this thing comes to Africa, they will be dying like chickens.’ They said it. It is not that they thought it.”

“Why did they say so? It’s because they know we do not have any resource to handle what was coming. They saw what was happening to them. They were dying by the thousands with all their expertise, all their wealth,” Adeboye submitted.

Meanwhile, the G.O has directed members of the RCCG to commence a 30-day fasting and prayers for the nation beginning from Sunday 1st November, 2020.

According to Adeboye, “Marathon fasting will hold between Nov. 1 and Nov. 14 for those who prefer that as prayer guide shall be forwarded soon.

“Where possible, brethren should be encouraged to come together for prayers while ensuring that all COVID-19 government regulations and safety precautions are put in place,’’ he said.
