Horror! Horror!! When Would The Deplorable Sagamu-Ogijo-Ikorodu Road Be Fixed? Residents, Motorists Lament [PHOTOS]

Residents and motorists plying the Shagamu-Ogijo-Mosinmi-Ikorodu Road have tasked the Federal Government, Lagos and Ogun State governments to urgently come to their rescue in rehabilitating the 25-kilometre road as it has become nothing but a nightmare.

As at now, journey from Ikorodu roundabout to Sagamu now takes about three hours as against the usual 30 minutes due to the various bad portions on the road.

Visibly worried by the state of the road, one of the residents of the Ikorodu area who sent in pictures of the deplorable state of the road to The DAILY BELLS, Engr Sulaiman Olaide, urged the concerned authorities to do something urgent and concrete about re-fixing the road.

Engr. Olaide said the deplorable state of the road deserves to be given a top priority considering its significance to the nation as a major link road and alternative route to the congested Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The Trunk A Road constructed in 1928 is the major road linking Ikorodu, Lagos State to places like Simawa, Sagamu in Ogun State as well as Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.

Before now, various attempts by the government, especially the Federal Government to re-fix the road had been abandoned.
