BREAKING: Angry Dino, Labour Party, 9 Other Party Agents Walk Out Of INEC Collation Centre

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s agent, Senator Dino Melaye has led some  party agents of Labour Party, SDP, AAC and others to stage a walk out of the collation center in Abuja ahead of the announcement of the winner of the presidential election.

Melaye accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of being compromised.

Dino had earlier threatened that the PDP would reject the result of the 2023 presidential election.

Dino had insisted that the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, must not accept the results of Ekiti, alleging that there were incidents of over-voting and electoral irregularities.

 He also insisted that the results presented at the national collation centre were not uploaded on the commission’s Results Viewing Portal (IReV), as against provisions of the electoral act. 

However, the INEC chairman overruled Melaye and ratified the result presented by the SCOPs for Kwara and asked those of Ondo and Osun to proceed with their results. Despite this, Melaye left his seat, stormed the arena right before the INEC chairman, and ranted that the results presented by the SCOPs would not be accepted by his party. Mahmood instantly cautioned Melaye and announced a one-hour break.
