‘Silent Prejudice’, a movie series on the Osu caste system in southeastern Nigeria, will be airing tonight on the African Independent Television (AIT).

Dino Melaye, a former senator representing Kogi West, who also features in the 13-episode project, announced in a post on Wednesday that the movie will be aired by 9pm on the TV station.

“I will be on a series ‘Silent Prejudice’ showing on AIT by 9pm. Please watch. God bless you. SDM,” he wrote on Twitter.

The 13-episode project features several prominent politicians including Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation, who is making his acting debut.

Produced by Chris Oge Kalu, ‘Silent Prejudice’ also features many movie stars including Clem Ohameze, Amaechi Muonago, Monalisa Chinda, Chuks Chyke, Vitalis Ndubuisi, Steve Eboh, and Ofiafuluagu Mbaka.

Others cast on the movie are: Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Larry Koldsweat, Obi Idejimba, and T.T. Temple.

Fani-Kayode, who starred on the project alongside Precious, his wife, had in March reflected on his foray into the movie landscape, noting such has made him understand what filmmakers go through better.

“Many do not know just how hard actors work and the energy and discipline that goes into their craft,” he had said.

“Being a thespian is no mean feat. It requires total dedication and focus and, having been through what I experienced on Saturday, my respect for them is boundless.

“Season 1 is already being aired on AIT on Wednesdays at 9.00pm and Season 2, in which I appear, will soon be aired.”
