PHOTOS: Nigeria’s First Female Combat Pilot, Arotile Buried

The first female combat helicopter pilot of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Tolulope Arotile, has been laid to rest at the military cemetery in Abuja.

Her funeral, which was held on Thursday, was attended by many dignitaries, including Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, and Sadiya Umar-Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

Arotile died on July 14 of head injuries sustained from a freak accident which occurred at the NAF base in Kaduna.
