LASG Suspends Decision to Close Marine Bridge

The Lagos State Government has suspended the impending decision to close Marine Bridge till further notice.

A press statement signed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde stated that the decision was based on the focus to tackle the corona virus pandemic and the need to evoke the social distancing strategy especially in the construction sector, to further curb the spread of the virus.

A new date for the planned repair works of the bridge shall be communicated in due course.

However, the state government advises Lagosians to still stay at home and practice social distancing unless the trip is really essential.
