JUST IN: Thank You Nigerians,  I’ll Be Your Chief Servant, Says Tinubu 

The president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Wednesday, assured Nigerians that he would be the chief servant and serve Nigeria with all he’s got.

This is as he also appealed to opposition parties and his challengers to join him in his mission to achieve the desired country.

He stated this at the APC Presidential Campaign Council headquarters in Abuja shortly after he was declared the winner of the presidential poll.

“Let’s collaborate and work together. I promise to work with you,” Tinubu said while giving his acceptance speech in Abuja.

At the event were his vice-president-elect, Kashim Shettima, All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, and APC governors, among others.

Speaking further, the former Lagos State governor, commended Nigerians, particularly those who voted for opposition parties, saying their move helped in deepening democracy in Nigeria.

The President-elect also  commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting the 2023 presidential election.

I commend INEC for conducting a credible election, no matter what anybody says”. Tinubu said.

The president-elect also offered insight into how his administration will pilot the affairs of the nation.

He said he was ready to listen and take a difficult route in ensuring Nigerians see better days and the country of their dreams.

The Independent National Electoral Commission during the early hours of Wednesday declared Tinubu, who is the APC presidential candidate during Saturday’s election, as the president-elect.

Tinubu was declared the president-elect after the 70-year-old polled 8,794,726 votes to win the 2023 presidential election.

The INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, announced Tinubu as the winner at the International Collation Centre in Abuja.

Tinubu won the election ahead of other contenders  — the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar; the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi; and the New Nigeria Peoples Party candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
