JUST IN : [Ogun LG Poll] Oyegbola-Sodipo Casts Vote, Expresses Optimism

The All Progressive Congress, APC Chairmanship Candidate in the Abeokuta North Local Government election, Dr Hon Lanre Oyegbola Sodipo cast his vote at his Polling Unit Ikereku Ward 01, this morning.

Oyegbola-Sodipo, voted at his  polling unit amidst cheers from his kinsmen.

Speaking with newsmen after casting his vote, Oyegbola-Sodipo commended officials of the Ogun State Independent National Electoral Commission, OGSIEC for the conduct of the exercise, notwithstanding the delay experienced in the early hours of the day.

The Chairmanship hopeful stated that the exercise was well coordinated, as he commended the electoral officials for their efficiency, especially as observed in his ward.

“From what I have seen here today, the election is peaceful, and I have cast my vote. I commended OGSIEC and security agencies for their composure.

“The exercise has been quite impressive. The turnout can attest to it that it’s not just a segment of the society coming out to vote. You can see the elderly, youths, male and female,” he said.

Oyegbola-Sodipo, however, expressed optimism that he would win the Chairmanship election.

The Chairmanship Candidate added that he was in a vantage position for victory in the election having worked hard and the people’s love for him.

“I’m not agitated, significantly, I worked for this. So, I’m expecting the best outcome,” he noted.
