More Controversies Surround How 27-Year-Old Singer Mohbad Died

Kindly share this story:

Popular singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known professionally as Mohbad, reportedly died on Tuesday.

However, there have been controversies on how the 27-year-old musician reportedly died having complained of pain in his ear and was taken to the hospital.

It was gathered that when he got to the hospital, he was administered an injection which was alleged to have silenced him forever.

He was reported to have died in the early hours of Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

A video of his lifeless body being conveyed in a vehicle has gone viral showing a close associate weeping profusely.

The fellow could only be heard saying: “Mohbad is dead.”

Mohbad, was a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter from Lagos. He was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” and left the label in 2022.

He is best known for his hit singles Ponmo, Feel Good and KPK (Ko Por Ke) with Rexxie which was nominated three times for The Headies Awards 2022.

At first, the news was thought to be a rumour, but when YBNL music executive Olamide confirmed the rumours, a wave of sadness swept through the industry. Later, the news was confirmed by the singer’s team on Instagram.

In another development, there has been widespread speculation that he got involved in drug use. According to the sources, the singer was suffering from mental illness and had attempted suicide a couple of times. However, another speculation about MohBad’s cause of death is ‘juju.’ Seemingly, he was hit by juju during a show at Ikorodu, Lagos. Another theory says MohBad had an ear infection that escalated, but fans don’t seem to believe this. However, the autopsy report is still awaited.

Was MohBad Hit by Juju?

Omo this is sad

Juju, often referred to as “African magic,” is a belief system and a set of practices that have been part of various African cultures for centuries. It encompasses a wide range of magical and spiritual beliefs, which vary from region to region. Juju is deeply rooted in African traditions and plays a significant role in the daily lives of many.

MohBad was performing in Ikorodu, Lagos State. It was that time when someone performed juju on the singer.

MohBad’s death has also sparked rumours about Marlian music and Naira Marley’s involvement. Mohad once went live and said that Naira and Marlian music would be responsible for his premature death. Now, when it has actually happened, then all are trolling Naira and Marlian music.

Twitter users flooded the social media space with their speculation:

Whether Naira Marley has a hand in Mohbad’s death or not, some people will never believe he is innocent.

Let’s not forget that this is Nigeria and Nigerians believe in juju so there will always be a conspiracy theory that he was killed with juju and not because of the infection
