A man (name withheld) has reportedly impregnated his ex-girlfriend shortly after his bride postponed their wedding as a result of the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Daily Bells gathered that the wedding was slated to hold during the second week of the lockdown.

Due to the lockdown order restricting social gathering to not more than 20 people, it was gathered that the groom’s family suggested a quiet solemnization with about 10 people in attendance while a big party would be organized later, but the bride’s family was said to have opted for indefinite postponement.

With the postponement of the wedding, the groom allegedly requested for bride to move in with him till new date, but it was turned down by the bride and her family.

As the lockdown continued, the groom’s ex came for a visit, however, she couldn’t return to her base because of the ban on inter-state movement. They stayed together all through the stay-at-home orders.

Two months after, the ex-girlfriend discovered she was pregnant. But the family of the groom got to know about the incidence and insisted she must never abort the pregnancy.

According to the report, when the bride who had wanted an elaborate wedding heard about the news, she went into coma.

She is currently hospitalized.
