BREAKING: If You Don’t Have Facemask, Sanitizer, Don’t Come Near Our Trains – Amaechi Tells Passengers

As trains are expected to resume operations on Wednesday, the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has told passengers that the compulsory use of facemasks as well as sanitizers would be required before they would be allowed to board the trains.

The minister made this known during the press briefing of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 on Monday.

He noted that while he believed it is not yet right to allow the trains to resume operations amidst the rising cases of the COVID-19 in the country, those who wanted to go for celebrations ‘pressurised’ him to do so.

According to him, any passenger who does not put on the facemask properly would be asked to disembarked from the train.

“If you are coming to board the trains, you must wear your facemask properly. Ensure it covers your mouth and your nose. Don’t put the facemask on your chin,” Ameachi stated.
