Spurs Sign Man City’s Savinho for Reported £75m

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City for a reported initial fee of £75 million, taking the club’s spending in the current transfer window beyond £300 million.

The 22-year-old joins Spurs after two seasons at City, where he struggled to establish himself as a regular first-team player. Tottenham are hoping the winger’s pace, creativity and ability to take on defenders will strengthen their attack following last season’s relegation battle.

Savinho said he was delighted to join Tottenham, adding that a conversation with head coach Roberto De Zerbi convinced him to make the move. De Zerbi described the Brazilian as a player with “energy, imagination and quality” who can change games with his creativity.

City could reportedly receive up to a further £10 million in add-ons. Savinho joined City from Troyes for £30 million in 2024 after impressing during a loan spell at Girona, but scored only seven goals in 84 appearances for the English champions.

The transfer is also expected to be followed by further business between the two clubs, with Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush reportedly set to move from Manchester City to Tottenham before the transfer window closes next week.
