BREAKING: ‘I’m Sorry’, Bosun Tijani, EndSARS Apologist Apologises As Senators Quiz Him Over His ‘Nigeria Is A Bloody Expensive Tag’ Twitter Post
Bosun Tijani, a ministerial nominee from Oyo state, has tendered an unreserved apology to the Nigerian Senate and Nigerians at large over a ‘Nigeria Is A Bloody Expensive Tag’ Twitter Post he made in 2019.
On Saturday when the screening of nominees commenced, Abdulfatai Buhari, senator representing Oyo north, asked Tijani to speak on his 2019 Twitter post.
Buhari asked the nominee whether he is still a patriotic Nigerian.
During the plenary, other senators insisted that the ministerial nominee should answer the question raised by Buhari.
In the tweet, Tijani said, “Nigeria is a bloody expensive tag”.
In the same development, Tijani, CEO and co-founder of CcHub, also apologised to the senators for calling them “morons” in a 2021 Twitter post.
This follows the observation raised by Simon Nwadkon, the senate minority leader, as he read out a Twitter post credited to Tijani, in which the nominee described senators as “morons”.
In a Twitter post published in 2021, Tijani, who appeared before the senate for screening as a minister, had faulted the mode of screening and confirmation of political appointees by the senate.
“Who conducted a security check on him when he was appointed? What sort of checks are done by @NGRSenate when they confirm appointees? And the media .. question for another day. Until we ask the right questions, these morons will continue to take us for granted,” he wrote on Twitter in 2021.
