2023: Only Your PVC Can Enthrone Genuine Leadership, Group Urges Nigerians

Nigerians, especially the youths,  have been admonished to take advantage of the ongoing continuous voter registration exercise to enthrone genuine leadership in the country.

The Christian Conscience Group, a non-political but pressure group gave the advice in a release jointly signed by its national president, Dr Mrs Yetunde Akinluyi and the National General Secretary, Revd Dr Kolawole Verralls.

In the statement made available to the media yesterday by the National Director of Publicity, Tunji Oguntuase, the group noted; “The idea of sitting on the fence or criticising political leaders of bad governance should be discouraged, rather obtaining permanent voters card (PVC) which will enable us to elect credible bkleaders should be taken seriously.”

“We have watched with dismay how Nigerians, especially our youths stay aloof but criticise every move of the government, especially on social media platforms. We want them to show more interest in the political processes. The best way to get involved is for them to get their PVC.”

According to the Christian Conscience Group, it has noticed that most of the on-line political commentators and agitators do not possess PVC, yet their voices are the loudest when issues of governance are raised.

“How can you change bad leadership when you don’t have the weapon to do so which is your PVC,” the group wondered.

The group called on all Nigerians to come out in large numbers, locate their polling units and get registered within their localities.

“Nigeria can only be great if committed Christians, people with the fear of God and high credibility are elected to lead us,” the group concluded.
