BREAKING: Tinubu, Adeleke in Closed-Door Meeting at Aso Rock Villa After Osun Re-election Win

President Bola Tinubu is holding a closed-door meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Adeleke arrived at the Villa at about 5:25 p.m. on Thursday, dressed in navy blue traditional attire and carrying a walking stick. He arrived in a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV alongside the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

The meeting marks Adeleke’s first encounter with President Tinubu since his victory in the August 15 Osun State governorship election.

Tinubu had earlier congratulated Adeleke by telephone following his re-election, describing the outcome as a boost for democracy and urging the governor to unite residents of the state irrespective of their political affiliations.

Four other Osun officials were also seen arriving at the Presidential Villa shortly after Adeleke.

They included the Director-General of the Adeleke Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi; a member of the council, Sunday Bisi; the Osun State Chief of Staff, Akinleye Kazeem; and the member representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Bamidele Salam.

The agenda of the meeting was not immediately made public as of the time of filing this report.
