Hisbah Arrests Two Men For Sending X-rated Materials To Kano Housewife

The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested two men aged 20 and 21 for allegedly sending pornographic materials to a housewife in Kano.

The board’s Public Relations Officer, Lawan Ibrahim on Tuesday said that the suspects were arrested after the woman lodged a complaint with the board.

Ibrahim stated, “The suspects opened a WhatsApp group, which they used in sending pornographic materials to women, irrespective of their marital statuses.

“However, luck ran out on the suspects when one of the married women informed the board’s officials that she received pornographic materials on her phone.

“This prompted the Commander General of the board, Sheik Harun Ibn Sina, to order an investigation into the matter.”

He stated that following a thorough investigation, the two young men were apprehended at the Unguwa Uku Quarter, Tarauni Local Government Area of the state.

Ibrahim added that as soon as investigation was concluded, the suspects would be charged.

On the board’s official, who was arrested by the police for having a romantic affair with a married woman in a hotel, the PRO said the board had submitted its report to the police for appropriate action.

He, however, said the officer had been suspended until the outcome of the police action on the issue.

“The affected officer is still under suspension and he will remain suspended until after the police report,” he said.
