directed the 11 Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) in Nigeria to increase their tariff, effective from September 1, 2021<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">The directive came through a document captioned, \u201cTariff Increase Notification.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">In the document designated 023\/EKEDP\/GMCLR\/0025\/2021 and dated August 25, 2021, the Eko Electricity Distribution Company, EKEDC, officially informed its customers of the decision of upward tariff adjustment effective from 1st September 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">According to the EKEDC, &#8220;The increase will be reflected on the energy bill for October 2021, which will represent energy consumption for September 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">\u201cFor metered customers with internal vending arrangements, we urge you to adjust
